EVENT DESCRIPTION

“Kickstart” Series is a proposed annual event jointly organized by the Malaysia-Indonesia Business Council (MIBC) and the Indonesia-Malaysia Business Council (IMBC).

This initiative aims to foster the movement of capital, human resources, and entrepreneurial ventures between Malaysia and Indonesia. The event will be held on a rotational basis between Malaysia and Indonesia.

Each edition of the “Kickstart” Series will feature a dynamic array of activities, including keynote speeches from industry leaders, detailed presentations on market trends, and interactive sessions for the exchange of innovative ideas. Additionally, the event will provide a platform for knowledge sharing on best practices for operating and scaling successful enterprises in both nations. By bringing together key stakeholders, the event seeks to strengthen bilateral economic ties, promote cross-border investments, and cultivate a thriving business environment conducive to sustainable growth and development.

For 2024, The Kickstart series will be held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

OBJECTIVES

1. Educate and expose Malaysian SMEs to the Indonesian market from legal, human resource and finance perspectives.

2. To build a network of Malaysian and Indonesian SMEs with similar vision and goals.

3. Facilitate partnerships and collaborations between all stakeholders.
